Father Paul is the founder & principal minister of The Church of the Immaculate Transmission.
The mission of the Church is to promote higher consciousness and advanced spiritual communication with the divine through using Art & Spiritual imagery as a trans-formative tool. These visionary images are inspired by his personal contact and interaction with the Ultimate Creative Principal through selfless devotion and deep meditation with the Infinite.
As a painter Father Paul uses his own paintings to explore & document his spiritual journey and realizations, he also studies and demystifies the true meaning and purpose of classical pieces of “religious” art. This inspiration comes from the spectrum of religious & philosophical disciplines incorporating Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, and Judaism utilizing iconography common and traditional to each of those faiths. The images frequently have a surrealistic tone and embrace modern imagery and contemporary methods of depicting ideas, with the goal of allowing the viewer to perceive these higher realms through direct experience.

Father Paul also creates complex Sand paintings and Mandalas as a creative, devotional act and as a way of expressing the temporal nature of life. Drawing on the traditions of Tibetan and Navajo sand painting he has developed his own language and imagery - using sand as the medium. He usually makes such paintings over a period of two or three days then – after a short period of displaying the finished piece - it is destroyed and disposed of, thus drawing attention to the impermanence of the art and of life itself.
Rather than being a permanent structure, The Church of the Immaculate Transmission exists wherever these Artworks are displayed, providing a home for the communion of Ageless Saints and Sages.

Making a small change
Father Paul’s work often takes him to the mean streets of downtown L.A. where he frequently encounters homeless or vagrant people asking for “small change”. Not being a person of great wealth this situation – and the impossibility of an immediate solution – gave Father Paul some concern and he meditated asking for a personal solution and a down to earth way of interacting with the unfortunate.
The answer was the “Change Machine” – the little change making machine that is worn on the belt and carries dimes, quarters, nickels and pennies. This miraculous little machine changed everything.
Now, when Father Paul is approached for spare change, his response is, “Yes, how much would you like?” It also makes the situation easier for Father Paul to strike up a personal conversation and get to know each unfortunate person who is living on the street. Every time Father Paul changes a dollar the small change goes directly into his change machine ready for distribution, it also stops all that bothersome change in his pockets.
